Welcome Back to the Dugout – Let’s Make 2026 a Great Season

We hope you and your families had a wonderful break and found time to enjoy the diamond, or a well‑earned rest away from it. As 2026 kicks off, we can’t wait to see you back at The Dugout, ready for another action-packed season of diamond sports! Like many in our softball, baseball, and t-ball whānau, the past couple of years have had their challenges. Thanks to your support, we’ve tackled them together, and we’re heading into 2026 with optimism for the season ahead.

Thank you for backing local! Born and raised in West Auckland, The Dugout has been a family-owned hub for the diamond sport community for more than 30 years. Our focus has always been simple: get the right equipment to the right people at the right time - and have fun.

We pride ourselves on giving honest, practical advice to players, parents, and coaches so everyone can enjoy the game safely and confidently, whether you’re brand new to the diamond or playing at a high level.

We’re also committed to supporting the growth of the game. Our involvement and sponsorships are focused first on community, then development, and finally high performance. We’re grateful to Softball New Zealand, along with the many clubs and associations we work: your passion is what keeps the game strong across the motu.

Our approach to sales in 2026. Over the last few years, we’ve worked hard to offer regular sales in response to tough conditions. This year, we’re refining that approach.

Rather than constant discounting, we’ll be focusing on key sale periods:

• Easter

• King’s Birthday

• Black Friday

• Christmas & New Year

Alongside these, we’ll continue to run targeted monthly specials on selected items where possible, with value, fit and suitability at the centre of this. We believe in quality products and good advice over quick sales.

What’s coming in 2026 -There’s plenty to look forward to this year:

• Tips and advice on equipment fitting

• Glove care, and specialised services

• Monthly tips and tricks to help you enjoy the game more

• Early-season bundle deals for new and returning players and coaches

• Community support through ongoing work with clubs and associations

• Website improvements with clearer fitting guides, product explanations, and buying advice

We’re here for your season! Pop into the store or check out our website to see the latest gear, get organised early with pre-orders, or just have a chat. We offer a three-week DHL airfreight service, if the supplier has it in stock, we’ll do our best to get it here quickly 😊.

Whether you’re chasing big goals or just enjoying a hit with your mates, we’re here to help you get the most out of your season. We value all feedback, and take everything on board to better serve our community and better the game.
